Yesterday was actually a pretty nice day in these parts. I was out grocery shopping wearing a t-shirt and sweater and felt completely comfortable. Last night we attended a small party at a friend’s place, and it was after midnight by the time we got home. By the time I got to bed it was 1 AM and I was tired. So how interested do you think I was when Cory woke me up this morning to tell me that it was snowing?
Not at all interested would be the correct answer. Especially since it was barely enough snow to take notice of. There was a light frosting of white on trees, fence posts and deck railings, but that was it and it didn’t last long.
It was a noticeable temperature difference though, and I was glad I had the wood stove all ready to go. Our first fire of the season took the chill off so we have not yet had to turn on the electric heat.
I took Frank out for a short walk this afternoon to chew on some grass and check out the perimeter of the fence – he does like to do that now and again.
But chilly weather is much more suited to indoor pursuits.
Once the fire got going, Zappa hid out in the basement. He loves basking in the heat from the wood stove.
Plenty more of that to come though. Hoping for a bit more of the warmer weather before the cold sets in.
