Two Weekends ago…

I’m two weeks behind here. I keep taking pictures, intending to post, but it just doesn’t happen. So, to catch up…

Two Fridays ago, Cory decided to roast our pork tenderloin in the oven because it was too cold to go out and barbecue. Oddly enough, it was not too cold to send me out to the garden for carrots…

It actually was not bad out at all, and while I was in the garden I picked a bunch of tomatoes as well.

I stopped on the deck and filled my bucket to the brim with tomatoes from the deck planter.

Then went inside and had fun making pretty salads. After running back outside to pick parsley and green onions to add to the salads.

While I fussed with my salads, Cory was frying up potatoes carrots and bell peppers. I had some raw carrots on the side instead of cooked ones.

Saturday was busy, but Sunday I did head out to the garden again. When I went out side, I was greeted by a neighbor.

I picked more tomatoes and enjoyed my flowers.

Frank and I had a little walk.

Then I went inside and made peach freezer jam (not sure it turned out right) and salsa.

Tomatoes have pretty much been a theme (not that I mind). Friday we had the salads (with carrots & potatoes). On Saturday we tried out a Japanese curry recipe which used up the last of our potatoes, plus some tomatoes and carrots. The curry fed us for three days.

On Tuesday we had pasta with chicken and tomatoes.

On Wednesday, I tried out a new recipe. With more tomatoes.

Cory liked it so much that we had it again on Thursday.

Which brings us to the end of week one. This weekends pictures coming soon.
