Belated Labour Day Weekend Photos

Let’s see…On Friday of Labour Day Weekend 2010, we were preparing ourselves for Hurricane Earl. We made sure we had groceries, water, etc. I went out to the garden and took down my hanging strawberry baskets; I went around and pickedĀ  what was ready to be picked. Then I looked around, hoped for the best, and left the garden.

This potato was sitting on top of the soil in one of the potato tubs

My bucket of goods from the garden

Zappa working on opening the screen door - Cory and I were on the deck

Cory was barbecuing and I was picking a few more tomatoes

Hurricane Earl was basically Rainy Day Earl in Saint John, and by late afternoon the sun was coming out. Which was certainly okay by us! It cooled things down quite a bit – it has been extremely hot and humid – but we still had nice weather for the rest of the weekend.

Accidentally dug up a garlic bulb, but it was ready to come out anyway
